Christmas is celebrated every year on 25 December. It is the day of birth of Jesus Christ, who according to Christianity is the Son of God.
On Christmas day, people decorate their homes and churches.
They set up a big tree, called a Christmas tree, and decorate it with lights, marigolds, stars, and gifts.
They prepare and eat cakes, pies and other delicious dishes.
They give each other cards, chocolates, toys, clothes and other things.
They perform prayers, songs, dramas and other programs there. They listen to the birth story of Jesus Christ and thank him.
Christmas reminds us that we should have love, peace and harmony with our family, friends and society.
It reminds us that we should keep ourselves and others happy.
